Flower Power

It's been almost a month since I posted and life's been so busy lately. I started sugar flower classes with Ruth Drennan of Ruth Drennan Cakes. She's a big inspiration to me, and I am really excited to finally do this. In our first class, I learned how to make gumpaste roses. Practice makes perfect, but I think I did pretty well for a gumpaste virgin. Next up are orchids (especially excited for this) and marzipan. Will share my creations as they come.
